Methods and Training Style
My methods and training style in my opinion is one of the best styles in the industry. Balanced dog training is the style i am referring to. I am not limited to any one training style or tool. Albeit, just because i can use tools and methods i only do so depending on the severity of the dogs situation or absolute necessity. Thats a very simple explanation for such a nuanced topic, but that is the long and short of it.
Balanced dog training at its core aids me in being able to overstep any one specific training style. So I can safely and effectively create a personalized training plan that fits your dog and their personality. I have learned from, in my opinion, from some of the best and most respectable dog trainers in the world. For example, Jimmy from Caspers Camp Hope mentored me locally. I have also taken the training styles from some of the greats such as Cesar Millan and there’s many more! To name a few Mike Ellis, Tom Davis, William Atherton, and two time world champion Ivan Balabanov. While they all have some similarities and some major differences, one thing remains, they all have a passion for dog training. They are some of the most effective dog trainers I know.
I’ve learned from these awesome people to be able to become successful in rehabilitation and dog training as a whole. I personally believe I will never be a master, but always a learner. My hopes are that I can ascend to the heights and skills of some of the people I listed above.
The Importance of Walks
Part of my methods and training style is offering dog walking as a service. Most if not all the dogs I have met, trained, or walked loved going on a W.A.L.K. I believe the walk is so important in a modern dogs life. Modern people unfortunately, for most of us require us to leave the home for an extended period of time. Ranging from 8 to 10 hours a day on average.
During the day, a dog will become anxious and will be filled up with a whole lot of energy to burn and at home with nothing to point the barrel at, so what could happen without mental enrichment is that your dog can start to take it out on your belongings! Have you come home to something torn up? Your trash can knocked over? pee your poop on the floor? That’s a clear sign that your dog has an over abundance of energy, bored, or it could be that they are suffering from separation anxiety.
Walk and Play
What can clears up some of these behaviors you ask? A wonderful, well balanced, walk and play! I offer Walk and Play as one of my most fun ways to walk! While I also do a standard and structured walk with your dog I do offer, Walk and Play as a great way to burn some of that energy out of your dog! We will go for a nice walk and play while we do it! I throw one of their favorite toys and get the gears going so when your buddy is dropped off, they will not only feel fulfilled, but they will have their mental enrichment bar completely topped off. As far as I know I’m the only one to offer walk and play, but I think it is a fun way to stimulate your best friend!
This is especially great if you’re crate training your dog. As I’ve mentioned in another post that your dog who is crate trained really shouldn’t be in their crate no longer than four hours. without some type of reprieve and that is why I offer dog walking as one of my other essential services.
Mentioned before was that most of us have to work between eight and 10 hours a day. That usually leaves us humans mentally drained, physically drained, or a combination of the two. Sometimes we as owners just don’t have enough energy to work out our dogs like we should. That is why I offer what I offer for the best training scenarios. Your dog needs to have plenty of physical activity, and this is a way to alleviate some of the unwanted behaviors.
